History
Software Engineering Department has been established in 2009 by Mr.Sawee Lueaboonchu. At the beginning,
the department's name was Software Development Department. The department's committees led by Mr.Sawee
Lueaboonchu had the responsibility to manage the Bachelor of Science Program in Software Development curriculum
(2008). The first year students were admitted to the department in 2009. When the Ministry of Education has announced
"Thai Qualifications Framework for Higher Education, TQF:HEd) in 2009, there were five disciplines in computing
composed of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology and Business
Computer. Therefore, the department's committees has agreed to develop the new curriculum which was the Bachelor
of Science Program in Software Engineering curriculum (2010) correspond with the TQF:HEd. As a result, the Software
Development Department has been renamed to the Software Engineering Department since then. In addition, the
curriculum development has been carried out every five years in order to make the curriculum modern and correspond
with the requirements of entrepreneurs and job markets.
Vision
The graduates of Software Engineering Department have knowledge and skills to develop software application
systematically and morally.
